Mr. Coe has successfully handled thousands of criminal and civil appeals, as well as trial-level criminal and Family Court cases ranging from Identity Theft, Grand Larceny, Forgery and other white collar crimes, to violent crimes and narcotics charges including Drug Possession, Assault, Weapons Possession, Burglary, and Robbery, to Family Court matters involving custody, visitation, orders of protection, child support and family offenses.

Before establishing the firm, Mr. Coe graduated from Cornell University and cum laude from Brooklyn Law School. He began his legal career as an Assistant District Attorney in the Trial Division of the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office, where he successfully handled countless investigations, arrests, indictments and trials at the most prestigious and distinguished prosecutor’s office in the country. During his time as a prosecutor, Mr. Coe’s responsibilities included grand jury proceedings, evidentiary hearings, trials, training prosecutors, and supervising investigations. In addition to his work at the firm, Mr. Coe teaches Criminal Law at the undergraduate level.

Mr. Coe’s integrity and ability as a prosecutor and as a criminal defense attorney has been consistently recognized by his peers and adversaries on both sides of the criminal justice system. Mr. Coe has received several awards including the Edward Byrne Memorial Prize for “excellence in the field of Criminal Procedure and…exemplif[ying] high moral character and personal integrity.” Mr. Coe’s experience has given him a unique insight into how prosecutors conduct investigations and handle prosecutions, which he is able to utilize in the defense of clients in Rockland County, Westchester County, Orange County, New York City, federal courts and other courts throughout New York.

Mr. Coe fights for his clients’ rights with vigilance and compassion, whether obtaining dismissals, reductions before trial, or acquittals after trial. Because what happens inside a courtroom can have severe consequences for years or a lifetime, putting the client at the center of the case is essential. There is no greater personal or professional fulfillment for Mr. Coe than using his legal knowledge and ingenuity to aid people in their times of need, protect their rights, and secure their freedom.
